What is the purpose of FriendsLive?
Social Networking should be better than just hoping for more ‘likes’ and more about better engagement around an image or a thought or something you think your friends and others would find interesting! Unfortunately the most well known platform has become all about marketing with an algorithm taking your ‘like’ and turning it into something that can either be sold to marketeers or pushing you to something else through suggestion! FriendsLive is just about Friends sharing and communicating in a safe and fun way… no more, no less!
What is the minimum Age to join FriendsLive?
To comply with Data Protection requirements you have to be aged 13 and over to join FriendsLive! You have to confirm this as part of the Sign-Up process! You are not required to give your Birth Date!
How do you make Money?
Sometimes its not all about money! FriendsLive is a Labour of Love that we all can enjoy so no Ads, no Sponsored posts and no Tracking!
Will I get Notifications?
FriendsLive is deliberately designed to be less intrusive and so there are no Push Notifications when using the Native App downloaded from Amazon except via eMail. If the Progressive Web App (PWA) is added to your Home Screen via Chrome, you can choose to have Push Notifications and Badges turned on in your Device Settings. You can still receive Notifications on Activity and Messages when you are logged-in to FriendsLive and these will be received in Real-Time. eMail Notifications can be turned off in your Profile Settings.
Can the General Public view my Profile?
No! You can set your Profile to be viewed by any Member or to Private and viewed only by your Friends. Make the most of the Profile Widgets and Settings as your Bio can not only tell members something about yourself but illustrate your Skills, Hobbies and other interests!
Can I send a Private Message to a Friend?
Yes! Your Friend will receive a notification that you have sent a Message and your conversation can begin! If you are online at the same time, you can Chat in Real-Time with our own Messenger system!
Is content Moderated?
Yes! Members are expected to follow normal forms of decency in their posts by respecting the views of others! Extreme viewpoints and comments that offend and that are reported to FriendsLive will be reviewed and removed! A Policy of ‘One Strike and You are Out’ will prevail! Posting of Pornography will be treated in the same way! Members are encouraged to Report posts they regard as unsuitable to us via the Contact Form!
I am having trouble Registering!
FriendsLive is protected against Anti-Spam and Fake User-Bots that try to infiltrate websites via their Registration Forms! Sometimes this automated software is so secure that it throws up false positives after it analyses personalised email addresses and the Country of origin! Unfortunately this a necessary safeguard to protect the website’s integrity and security of its Members! If you find yourself blocked from Registering but would still want to join FriendsLive, please use the Membership Request Form (Button below) and we can create an Account for you which you can then personalise once Logged-In!
I've Registered but can't interact with FriendsLive!
Your Account hasn’t been fully Activated! It is important to Activate your Account once it has been approved by Admin. Click the link in the Activation Email sent to the email address used to Register. Please check your email client Spam Folder just in case it lands in there! Accounts not fully Activated within 24 hours will be automatically deleted.
